Introducing the Dickins Collections
You might’ve noticed that we’ve recently launched a new website as well as updated the branding and introduced a new logo. We’ve also incorporated a cool aerial video of Edinburgh on our homepage that you need to check out! It’s been a lot of work, but we’re very pleased and proud of these changes and we really hope you will enjoy the new website!
A part of the new website experience we’re introducing the Dickins Collections, which will make navigating the site and finding the right home for you easier. There are 5 collections: Dog Friendly Homes, Family Friendly Homes, Homes with Parking, Luxury Homes and Most Loved Homes. You’ll find them in the main tab under ‘Our Services’ or just below the video on the homepage. Let’s take a closer look at these.
Dog Friendly Apartments
We understand how important your dog is to you and that you might want to bring your furry companion with you when you travel, especially if you’re staying in Edinburgh for longer than a few nights. Our Dog Friendly collection includes all our homes where dogs are welcome, such as the charming apartment below that can be rented both for two or four people. Buccleuch Place has a private south-facing walled garden and is right next to the huge Meadows Park. Perfect for your pooch!
Family Friendly Apartments
Travelling with children can be stressful, so we want to make sure that the accommodation you choose isn’t. Staying in a fully equipped apartment where you and your kids have more space than in a hotel room will make your stay a lot more enjoyable. Our Family Friendly category lists homes that welcome children of all ages with a travel cot, high chair and children’s crockery available. You might even find a box of toys!
A favourite among our family guests is Glencairn Crescent in the West End. There is plenty of space, a big dining table, children’s books and you’ll also get access to the immaculate private gardens across the street. Your little ones will love it!
Apartments with Secure Parking
If you need to bring your car when travelling to Edinburgh that is absolutely fine. Our self catering apartments with Parking all have a parking spot that has been reserved for your car, so that you won’t need to worry about where to park. We can also help you find the nearest car park or street with parking if you’re staying in any of our other properties.
Our one bedroom home on Brunswick Street is located only a short walk from Calton Hill and Princes Street but still comes with secure parking for one car, which is a luxury in the centre of Edinburgh!
It’s no secret that Edinburgh is full of gorgeous architecture and stunning properties – and we’re lucky to be looking after some of the most amazing and luxurious self catering apartments. Our Luxury Homes are stylish, nicely presented and in a great, central location. We can provide housekeeping and recommend some fabulous local companies and services if you would like someone to cook for you, deliver wine and flowers, babysit your children, take you on bespoke tours, shopping, running and so on. Just ask us about this when you book and we’ll help out.
The incredible Rock House has connections to early photography and the historical importance of the house can be sensed when you stay here. The location on Calton Hill, only a couple of minutes’ walk from Princes Street, is incredible – yet it feels very secluded and private. The furniture is sourced especially for the house and fits in beautifully. The Main House sleeps 8 people, The Terrace Apartment that is in the same building sleeps 4 and The Photographer’s Studio that is a separate building just a few metres away sleeps 2 people. These can be booked together or separately.
Our Most Loved Apartments
The apartments that we have included in this section are the homes our guests consistently give us great feedback on – our most popular Edinburgh homes. As all our homes, they’re all different, which means the reasons why they’re our Most Loved ones varies. One thing they all tend to have in common though (apart from being clean, nicely decorated and in a good location) is that you instantly get that feeling of home when you step through the door. A home away from home.
One of our most loved homes has to be this homely and charming apartment in the charming Stockbridge area. St Stephen Street has one single and one double bedroom and a great collection of books for you to enjoy. It’s lovely!
