We’re currently recruiting a highly organised, positive and experienced Operations Manager to join our small team.

Doing our job well involves managing the operational detail in our homes carefully on a daily basis. That is the responsibility of this role.  

So, to be a great fit, you will have experience of property maintenance. Experience working in property management or hospitality will be very helpful. We’re currently working on a hybrid basis with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. 

This role involves:- 

  • Ensuring the seamless running of our housekeeping changeover services to 5* hotel standards 
  • Ensuring our homes are compliant with new STL Licence regulations 
  • Keeping our homes maintained to very high standards  
  • Ensuring safety certification is up to date at all times 
  • Carrying out regular inspections 
  • Uploading trades invoices 
  • Returning guest deposits 
  • Being responsible for checking guests in and out 
  • Finding solutions for problems quickly and efficiently 
  • Maintaining good relationships with our owners and guests 
  • Having the emergency phone on a shared basis with the team 

Experience and Skills 

To apply for this role you must be/have: 

  • Experience of property maintenance 
  • A property management or hospitality background is advantageous  
  • Property Management qualifications would be highly advantageous as we will be moving into long term letting as well as short term in 2024.  
  • Highly organised 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • A people person – you’ll be meeting people from all walks of life from all over the world 
  • Practical with a roll your sleeves up attitude 
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure – our world can be fast paced and we need to find solutions quickly.  
  • Previous experience where you have worked with third party businesses 
  • Previous experience of being in a customer facing role in a quality environment 

To be considered for this role you must:- 

  • Have 3 years working experience in an office environment 
  • Live in Edinburgh or close by 
  • A confident telephone manner 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Sound experience of Microsoft Word and Excel. We currently use the SME operating system and it would be advantageous if you have experience of this 

Salary £26,000 – £30,000.
