Charming Apartment Which Strikes the Right Chord
There is a true sense of charm about 19 Gayfield Square. It's owned by local harpsichord-makers who have their workshop downstairs and there's is a civilised cultured feeling in the apartment. Located at the basement level with pretty views of the private garden from all rooms, it feels like an oasis of calm in the middle of the city. The apartment is decorated in warm, cosy colours and there are interesting pictures on the walls. The sitting room is lined with fascinating books. There are two comfy sofas, a polished wooden floor and a dining table to seat four comfortably. One of the sofas is a sofa bed which is suitable for an occasional guest. The kitchen is located off this room and whilst it's small, it is very well equipped for cooking at home and making the most of the terrific local food shops including Valvona and Crolla, and Crombie's. The double bedroom is warm and cosy and in such a quiet location, a good night's sleep is guaranteed. There is also a shower room. The guests will have access to a pretty private garden and there is also a public garden in the middle of Gayfield Square. The apartment is owned by harpsichord-makers who have their workshop below. This is a most charming home from home.

During the Edinburgh Festival a whole month booking is preferred in this property.

Home Truths

Home Truths
Occasionally you can hear the neighbours walking around upstairs (but you don't hear other sounds from the flat)

The owners cat, Ginger, is sometimes in the apartment, so it may not be suitable for allergy sufferers.

You may hear the occasional tinkle of a harpsichord from the workshop below, although the owners normally let the apartment when they are away.

During the Edinburgh Festival a whole month booking is preferred in this property.

Dickins Cancellation Policy
24 hour cool-off period: Providing you book more than fourteen days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours of making it and we will refund 100% of any charges.

Cancelling after the booking is confirmed: Once a confirmation of booking has been issued to you via email by Dickins, you are responsible for the total price detailed. If you need to cancel, Dickins will try to relet the period for you and if they are successful, you will be reimbursed with the value of the relet less a £75 + VAT charge. If they are not able to relet the period, you will be responsible for the full rental cost. It may be a good idea to make sure you have travel insurance which covers cancellation.
