Our Top 10 Instagram Photos in August
August was a busy month in the Dickins office and in Edinburgh in general – that’s what the annual Edinburgh Festival does! We wouldn’t have it any other way though and love welcoming so many talented artists to our beautiful city and having so many great shows and performances on our doorstep. Let’s have a look at which of our photos the Instagram community liked the most in August.
10. Moray Place
Moray Place is a great place for taking photos and meandering – something we’ve combined in our tenth most liked photo in August!
9. National Monument of Scotland
We love climbing up to Calton Hill and admiring the city – and we’re always impressed by the National Monument. It creates a great dramatic background to any photo don’t you think?!
8. Calton Hill
Another snap from Calton Hill made it to our top ten round-up. In this photo we see the majestic Salisbury Crags with Canongate Kirkyard in the front.
7. Victoria Street
The ever so pretty and colourful Victoria Street is always a favourite on Instagram and among visitors to the city. Lots of interesting shops to pop into here as well!
6. Salt Cafe
Salt Cafe is a Morningside hotspot and a place we finally tried out for lunch before catching a show at the Churchill Theatre. Don’t forget to check out the incredible chocolate shop next door!
5. Drummond Street
What we love about Edinburgh is how you just come across beautiful buildings and gates like this without even looking.
4. Bohemia Design
We run a competition with another local, independent business every month, and in August we had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous Bohemia Design – you need to check out their Marchmont store asap!
3. Princes Street Gardens
We haven’t been spoilt with too many days like this this summer, but when these days do come along the people immediately take advantage of it. Love it!
2. Mary’s Milk Bar
Who wouldn’t like a photo of ice cream on a sunny August day – especially when the ice cream comes from Mary’s Milk Bar?! This was strawberry and black pepper and damn it was good!
1. Circus Lane
And the winner of the most liked photo in August is the ever so lovely Circus Lane! This little street never disappoints and always looks charming.
