What The Dickins: A Tale Of Edinburgh City

Our Top 10 Instagram Photos in July

It’s time for our monthly Instagram round-up! This month we’ll turn things on their head and start with the tenth most liked photo and work our way up to the image that our Insta-community has decided is the creme de la creme of July. We don’t want to give away too much, but can reveal that the same gorgeous car is featured twice on this list – so if the owner happens to see this blog please note we won’t say no to a ride in your car! Let’s take a look at what Edinburgh summers are made of.

10. Lauriston Castle

LauristonCastle

There are other fabulous castles in Edinburgh too, such as beautiful Lauriston Castle with spectacular views over the Firth of Forth and gardens perfect for a leisurely stroll. Oh and the courtyard cafe is so cute.

9. Carlton Terrace Mews

CarltonTerraceMews

Some of Edinburgh’s pretty mews houses on Carlton Terrace – and some of the less obvious ones. Why not go for a walk this weekend to discover this pretty corner of the city?

8. Porsche & Cobbles

Porsche

A beautiful vintage Porsche surrounded by no other cars whatsoever, Edinburgh’s New Town AND clear blue skies – this is what Insta moments are made of.

7. Drummond Place

We’re so lucky to have our office around the corner from stunning curves like this. Makes a great place to go for a lunchtime walk!

6. Vintage Porsche

And here she is again – the beauty that deserved to be featured on our Insta-account twice in a month. That colour is dreamy.

5. East Lothian

EastLothian

There hasn’t been many sunny days like this in July this year – but oh my how sensational days like these are when they do come around!

4. Regent Terrace

Let us give you a wee Instagram tip: find one of Edinburgh’s hundreds (or thousands?) pretty doorways and you’re guaranteed more likes than you’re used to.

3. Cafe Royal

CafeRoyal

This is such a special Edinburgh room – the restaurant at the Cafe Royal. Those beautiful stained glass windows and the ceiling make it a unique place to indulge in some delicious seafood.

2. Glasshouses at the Botanics

glasshouses

The Glasshouses at the Royal Botanic Garden are a great way to spend a few hours with the family – and an affordable way too. Those giant water lily leaves look like you could just jump from one to another!

1. Horse and carriage

And the clear winner is this shot from Albany Street of a horse and carriage waiting for the bride and groom. Not the best weather to get married in, but at least the ride is as classy as they come!
