What The Dickins: A Tale Of Edinburgh City

What’s On In Edinburgh – Autumn 2022

With the Edinburgh festivals and busy summer months coming to an end, autumn brings with it a peaceful period of time for the city. Edinburgh enjoys some lovely, brisk weather in autumn, making it a good month to get outside and explore the great outdoors – a perfect time of year to visit a bookshop and find a tasty bowl of soup.

There is usually a post festival energy about our city, but this year we learned of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We were honoured to see Edinburgh play a pivotal role in her journey home. Her Majesty lay in State at St Giles Cathedral, giving us the opportunity to pay our respects in person, feeling an important part of British history.
