  Small and cosy, this old New Town favourite is always packed full. Great selection of real ales and good hearty crowd and very good value filling lunches. There’s always a fire burning in the winter.

  This cool, modern bar is attached to a well regarded restaurant. There’s a superb, really large terrace for outdoor drinking in the summer and boasts some spectacular views to boot. The cocktails are divine.

The glasshouses are where we Edinburgh folk used to go for a treat before the days of central heating! Inverleith House usually has an interesting modern art exhibition and the views of Edinburgh from here are stunning.
