Chester Street is a smart Victorian street in Edinburgh's sought after West End. The buildings are very impressive and the streets are wide and elegant. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Princes Street from here and nearby you'll find charming William Street which has lovely range of independent boutiques, cafes and pubs. You can walk anywhere in central Edinburgh easily from here and the tram is very close by too. Supermarkets are available on Shandwick Place and Haymarket. During the Edinburgh Festival, this home is well located for The Book Festival and The Usher Hall, Traverse and Lyceum. It's also easy to walk to The Grassmarket with the added advantage of not having to walk up the New Town hills. The Gallery of Modern Art is a short walk away too as is picturesque Dean Village.

Chester Street is a stylish and very spacious home which is luxuriously appointed. There are white walls, plantation shutters and beautiful oak chevron flooring. The living space is a lovely large room with comfy leather sofas, a TV with Netflix, a dining table to seat six and a beautiful kitchen which is well-equipped for guests who want to cook and dine at home.

The master bedroom is an attractive room with a dressing room and an ensuite shower room. On the other side of the hallway, you'll find the other double bedroom. This bedroom is off a cosy snug which has a sofa and a TV and at the end of the snug you'll find a luxury bathroom with a shower and a lovely bath. This Jack and Jill bathroom can also be accessed from the hallway. At the end of the hallway, there's a door leading to a small private terrace garden which has a table and chairs.

This wonderful home is family friendly. The layout means that if two people are sharing, they will each have their own private space - the master bedroom with it's ensuite and the second double bedroom with the snug/TV room and bathroom.

Cancelling after the booking is confirmed: Once a confirmation of booking has been issued to you via email by Dickins, you are responsible for the total price detailed. If you need to cancel, Dickins will try to relet the period for you and if they are successful, you will be reimbursed with the value of the relet less a £75 + VAT charge. If they are not able to relet the period, you will be responsible for the full rental cost. It may be a good idea to make sure you have travel insurance which covers cancellation.

Your New Neighbourhood

Edinburgh’s West End and Dean is a popular, smart area. Running West from Queensferry Street to Magdala Crescent and North from Buckingham Terrace and Belgrave Crescent across the Dean Bridge to Shandwick Place in the South.

The Victorians created the West End and aimed to make it bigger and grander than the Georgian New Town. The streets are wide and the stone buildings enormous with huge high ceilings. The wide crescents often have private gardens in the middle and the area feels elegant and opulent. Princes Street can be easily reached on foot and Haymarket Station and the trams are close by too. William Street and Stafford Street are the West End’s most charming shopping streets and they are packed with exciting independent boutiques and some lovely restaurants and cafés. Around the corner magnificent Melville Street is home to various consulates and important companies.
