Stockbridge
Stockbridge is one of Edinburgh’s most popular and charming local areas. In the East it runs from St Stephen Street to Dean Park Mews in the West and from Stockbridge Colonies in the North to India Place in the South.
The area is one of Edinburgh’s greenest. The Water of Leith flows through Stockbridge, in fact the area is named after the bridge which crosses it and there are very pretty walks along it. It’s so quiet and rural, that it is hard to believe you are in the middle of the city. St Bernard’s Well is a little Greek style temple overlooking the water. The world class Royal Botanic Gardens and Inverleith Park are a few minutes walk away and are both wonderful for a wander. Inverleith Park has an excellent play park for children and The Botanics is a complete joy at any time of year. If you like running, this area is perfection. The first international rugby match between Scotland and England was played in the area on 27th March 1871. The Stockbridge Duck Race takes place here every year, for charity, when 1000 plastic ducks are released off the bridge to race down The Water of Leith.

The flat was so lovely and the area is perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants of Stockbridge and into Dean’s Village. The big windows, the comfortable bed, it was all so nice. Would stay again. - Lindsay
Beautifully appointed space. Quiet and private, away from the chaos of Fringe and touristy spots in Edinburgh, we found this place to be the spot we needed. Nice restaurants and bookshops all nearby within walking distance, and a cute little farmers market on Sundays to support local businesses. The space was spotless, and I loved how the two bedrooms were decorated. Very happy to have stayed here, would have extended stay another two nights but sadly the space was booked. I’ll come back next year! - Lynn
We took a chance on this rental as there were no reviews at the time. We could not have known that the place was even better than it seemed on the listing! A well decorated, clean and classy spot. Amazing location right on the water of Leith and close to shops and restaurants. - Bruce
The apartment was perfect for a 3 night stay to explore Edinburgh. The living room and bedrooms are filled with light and the floor to ceiling sash windows are gorgeous. The beds were large and comfortable and the shower pressure was good. The apartment was very clean and we found it to be a very quiet street. Its easy to walk into Stockbridge and only ~20mins walk to the centre of Princes Street. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it. - Jessica
