Fabulously located in between the New Town and Stockbridge, this modern apartment with parking is the perfect home from home. Stockbridge, with it's brilliant array of local independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is one of Edinburgh's most loved local areas. There's a market on Sundays and the beautiful Water of Leith where you can take a very attractive walk feeling like you're in the countryside is closeby. George Street is a ten minute walk away too.     

The apartment is well presented and very comfortable perfectly suiting couples and families. The sitting room is a good size and there's comfy leather seating and a flat screen TV. There's a Juliet balcony for romantic serenading (!) and a dining table to seat 4. The kitchen is well-equipped for home cooking, which is perfect for those who would like to make the most of the fabulous local Stockbridge food shops and there's a dining table to seat 4 too.

We were looking for somewhere fairly central and in a quiet/safe area to allow the girls some freedom to explore this beautiful city and enjoy the street party. This apartment was perfect for all four of us. Really spacious with two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was superb providing us with everything we could possibly need to make some nice meals if we didn't want to go out all the time. Probably the apartment's biggest plus point is the location. It is situated in Stockbridge, with a great selections of bars, restaurants and shops. It is very easy to walk around Stockbridge with all it has to offer and although all four of us came and went at different times it was always very quiet, even at New Year. The walk from the apartment up to Princess Street may be rather steep for some people especially if you have walking difficulties but there are buses running regularly from the Main Street in Stockbridge which are easily accessible. Finally I would like to thank the lovely team at Dickins for allowing us early entry on the 31st and making the procedure so straight forward. They were really nice to deal with and I knew if I had any problems they would be on the other end of a phone. " Angela H

Home Truths

This home has a parking space and the cost for the parking is £75/week. This cost is NOT included in the rental figure our website calculates - it is an additional cost. If you are booking for between 4 and 10 weeks, the parking will cost £60/week and £56.25/week if you are staying for 10 weeks or longer. Please mention if you would like to book parking at the time of booking.

If you would like to use the travel cot and high chair during your stay, please let us know at the time of booking. Linen will not be available for the travel cot, so please bring your own.

24 hour cool-off period: Providing you book more than fourteen days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours of making it and we will refund 100% of any charges.

Cancelling after the booking is confirmed: Once a confirmation of booking has been issued to you via email by Dickins, you are responsible for the total price detailed. If you need to cancel, Dickins will try to relet the period for you and if they are successful, you will be reimbursed with the value of the relet less a £75 + VAT charge. If they are not able to relet the period, you will be responsible for the full rental cost. It may be a good idea to make sure you have travel insurance which covers cancellation.

Your New Neighbourhood

Stockbridge is one of Edinburgh’s most popular and charming local areas. In the East it runs from St Stephen Street to Dean Park Mews in the West and from Stockbridge Colonies in the North to India Place in the South.

The area is one of Edinburgh’s greenest. The Water of Leith flows through Stockbridge, in fact the area is named after the bridge which crosses it and there are very pretty walks along it. It’s so quiet and rural, that it is hard to believe you are in the middle of the city. St Bernard’s Well is a little Greek style temple overlooking the water. The world class Royal Botanic Gardens and Inverleith Park are a few minutes walk away and are both wonderful for a wander. Inverleith Park has an excellent play park for children and The Botanics is a complete joy at any time of year. If you like running, this area is perfection. The first international rugby match between Scotland and England was played in the area on 27th March 1871. The Stockbridge Duck Race takes place here every year, for charity, when 1000 plastic ducks are released off the bridge to race down The Water of Leith.
