Quaint Pied-a-terre
Ramsay Garden is one of the most historic and prestigious addresses in Edinburgh. Nestling beneath Edinburgh Castle. This apartment is perfectly positioned to experience the Edinburgh Festival in all its splendour. The vast majority of Edinburgh's attractions, sights and Festival venues lie on your doorstep as well as a superb range of boutiques, restaurants and bars.

This quaint pied-a-terre is small but perfectly formed!! Located on the ground floor you enter the apartment into the sweet sitting room, which is open planned to the fully equipped kitchenette. The sitting room has a TV with freeview channels, DVD player and WIFI access for your use, as well as a telephone for guests use. There is a small dining table to seat two people too. The bedroom has a standard double bed nestled at the back of the room and has a good sized wardrobe and small sitting area. The bathroom has a shower only.

The Local Area
The Old Town, where this apartment is located in so packed with things to do, it is hard to describe in a few sentences. Edinburgh Castle dominates the skyline of Edinburgh, sitting magnificently as it does watching over the city. Listen out for the One O'clock gun every day. The massively popular Edinburgh Military Tattoo plays to thousands here each festival. The fabulous National Museum of Scotland is here and is a must see for children, as it the Camera Obscura. Greyfriar's Bobby keeps watch. If you are a sucker for a ghost story, Mary King's Close is guaranteed to make you scream as well as the many ghost tours run from the High Street. St Giles Cathedral rises magnificently above the Royal Mile and all the closes that run off it are well worth a day exploring. Edinburgh University occupies many beautiful buildings in the area. The Witchery is one of Edinburgh's most loved restaurants, Ondine is a destination for lovers of seafood and JK Rowling wrote in the Elephant House. Coffee aficionados head for Brew Lab and lovers of fudge to The Fudge House. If you are after some tartan, the choice is endless and there are some Edinburgh gems to discover here too. Armstrong's for vintage fashion and Mr Wood's Fossil Shop are both located in the Grassmarket. In the days when The Old Town was where all the Edinburgh residents lived, there were as many storeys underground as there are above and it was a pretty stinky place to live. No surprise that Burke and Hare committed their murders here. Luckily today, all is fragrant and bright! The Old Town is always busy but over the Edinburgh Festivals in the summer, it seems that every room transforms itself into a theatre and the High Street is pedestrianised to allow the performers to sell their wares. Full of contrasts, history, vibrancy, ghosts, stories and much more, the Old Town of Edinburgh is a melting pot of excitement.

This self catering apartment is available for holiday lets and as Edinburgh Festival accommodation. Over the Edinburgh Festival a whole month booking is preferred in this property.
