What The Dickins: A Tale Of Edinburgh City

Edinburgh voted second favourite city in the World

Edinburgh Festival

The readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine have voted Edinburgh as their second favourite city, to come second only to London.

Romantic break in Edinburgh

Paris is so overrated. If you want romance, you want Edinburgh

The Medieval tenements of the Old Town coupled with the Georgian splendour of New Town and various secret gardens make for a varied and historical walk throughout the city, something that people from all corners of the earth travel to enjoy. IMG_7358 (Custom)With around 3.5 million visitors a year, Edinburgh has the well-deserved reputation for being one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Advocate’s Close, just of the iconic Royal Mile, was voted ‘Scotland’s Best Building’ in 2014 while the Old and New Towns were listed as a World Heritage Site in 1995. With over 5,000 listed buildings, and a University that is the 6th oldest in the world, Edinburgh is certainly a historic city of note. Combined with a food scene to rival London, one of the world’s best loved arts festivals and home to some of the finest authors in the World, we weren’t surprised to hear that the readers of Conde Nast traveller love Edinburgh as much as we do.
