The official countdown is on – Christmas is coming! Edinburgh’s Christmas organises festive celebrations every year, and this year, there is more to do than ever.

With magical Christmas markets in St Andrew Square and East Princes Street Gardens, there are plenty of places to grab a toasty mulled wine, enjoy Christmas rides and partake in some ice skating!

The Big Wheel offers fantastic views of the city, as does the Star Flyer – from 60 metres above street level…do you dare?

Santa Land offers the chance for the kiddies to meet Santa, while the ice rink allows children to learn and enjoy skating while the adults show off their skating prowess, or enjoy a mulled win from the sidelines.

Circa: BEYOND

Acclaimed international circus company Circa make their Edinburgh’s Christmas debut.

Get up close and personal in the magical 1920s Spiegeltent with extraordinary circus performers and enter a beautiful and bewitching world. Let this intimate, red-curtained realm draw you into a cabaret, a zoo, an asylum… and a stage.

24 Doors of Advent

Edinburgh’s Christmas is running a real-life advent calendar which lets you open a door a day. Each day from 1 – 24 December, a building around Edinburgh that’s usually closed to the public will open its doors, and it’s all completely free.

Most importantly, our beautiful self-catering property, Rock House, will be open to the public on December 10th.

Rock House is a unique and historic Edinburgh property, and, for the first time ever, it will be available to rent for self-catering holidays. Recently renovated by world renowned Studio Reed, there is no doubt that Rock House will be a hit – after all, it’s the most stylish and unique property in Edinburgh!

Stick Man – Live on Stage!

Scamp Theatre’s delightful adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s hugely popular children’s book Stick Man is back in Edinburgh for Christmas! Touching, funny and utterly original, this award-winning production features a trio of top actors and is packed full of puppetry, songs, live music and funky moves.
