Located in Belgrave Crescent, one of Edinburgh's smartest residential addresses, it is a very quiet leafy environment. The Dean Bridge is a five minute walk away and from there it is possible to reach Princes Street in five minutes. Buses are available on nearby Queensferry Road and access to Edinburgh airport is good. This self catering holiday apartment is available from £350/week.....
Very well decorated and presented, the apartment comprises a charming double bedroom with a pretty French style bed and off this room there is a small study looking over the private patio. The bathroom has been finished to an extremely high standard with state of the art fixtures and fittings and a shower over the bath. The sitting room is charming and has a dining table next to the window. There is a flat screen TV and wireless broadband. The kitchen is also of a very high standard and has a dishwasher and microwave. This apartment is a perfect base for a holiday, or a wonderful home from home for a short let during your stay in Edinburgh. |

Drinking Ainslie Bar 3 Melville Place West End 539 8500 Smallish bar with a raised area at the front looking out onto the street. Seems popular with locals and young tourists alike. Serves Calders 70 well kept, Guinness 80% etc. Great collection of old Edinburgh prints and photos. Drinking Whigham's Cellar Bar Just off Charlotte Square, West New Town Busy, popular with suits drinking haunt, with an excellent selection of wines. They have cosy candle lit booths, so if you get there early enough, you can catch up with friends away from the crowds. Great simple menu too. Eating Blue 1st Floor, 10 Cambridge St, Tollcross, 221 1222 A cool busy bistro, with something for everyone on the menu. Excellent location for a spot of pre/post theatre dining. Lively buzz and great cocktails at the bar. Eating Bell’s Diner 7 St.Stephen Street, Stockbridge, 225 8116 Bell’s Diner is like an institution In Edinburgh, famous for the best burgers in town. A very busy but small restaurant so you definitely need to book in advance. Entertainment The Royal Lyceum Theatre Grindlay Street, Edinburgh The Royal Lyceum Theatre is a beautiful Victorian building with a long history. Built in 1883, its early days saw performances by the likes of Henry Irving and Ellen Terry. Entertainment Usher Hall Lothian Road Tollcross 228 1155 The Usher Hall is one of the most outstanding concert halls in the world. A landmark in the heart of Scotland's capital, it stands for the highest level of musical and civic participation and is the home of The Royal Scottish National Orchestra which plays here every Friday night in its season. For the best part of a century it has hosted some of the greatest concerts and events in the city including conductors Herbert Von Karajan and Claudio Abbado, singers Ella Fitzgerald and Elton John and performers Stephane Grapelli and Simple Minds. Places of Interest Princes Street Gardens Central/West New Town While in Edinburgh why not have a stroll through the picturesque Princes Street Gardens. In the summer you will see many people picnicking, taking a break from shopping and generally relaxing. While in the winter take a stroll in a 'Winter Wonderland' with ice-skating and funfairs. Princes Street garden is also a great venue and the famous Hogmanay Party boosts many famous musical acts performing in the gardens like Blondie, The Scissor Sisters and Texas to name but a few. These gardens are where the original stinking loch was drained at the time the New Town was built. This is the place to watch the amazing post festival fireworks display; surely one of the best in the world. Open til dusk. Places of Interest Royal Botanic Gardens Inverleith Row [East Gate] & Arboretum Place [West Gate], Stockbridge 552 7171 The Botanic Gardens have one of most impressive collections of trees and plants in the world and is a gorgeous place to get lost in an while away a few hours. The glasshouses are where we Edinburgh folk used to go for a treat before the days of central heating! Inverleith House usually has an interesting modern art exhibition and the views of Edinburgh from here are stunning.
