Its location is with easy walking distance of the main shopping streets of Princes Street and George Street. Pleasant walks can be had down to Dean Village and along the Water of Leith and there are some superb bars and restaurants close by. This beautiful apartment is available for self catering & holiday lets, short term & corporate lets and the Festival. From £425/week...
The main feature of this apartment has to be the magnificent cornice work in the living/bedroom area and the floor to ceiling bay window which captures the light and floods the room. This room is split in two by cleverly designed storage, on one side is the spacious living room and on the other a double bedroom. This bedroom has a wonderful spiral staircase which takes you up to a mezzanine balcony. The master bedroom is located towards the back of the apartment and has a luxurious ensuite shower room. There is a small kitchen but it is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. |

Drinking Ainslie Bar 3 Melville Place West End 539 8500 Smallish bar with a raised area at the front looking out onto the street. Seems popular with locals and young tourists alike. Serves Calders 70 well kept, Guinness 80% etc. Great collection of old Edinburgh prints and photos. Drinking Whigham's Cellar Bar Just off Charlotte Square, West New Town Busy, popular with suits drinking haunt, with an excellent selection of wines. They have cosy candle lit booths, so if you get there early enough, you can catch up with friends away from the crowds. Great simple menu too. Eating Bell’s Diner 7 St.Stephen Street, Stockbridge, 225 8116 Bell’s Diner is like an institution In Edinburgh, famous for the best burgers in town. A very busy but small restaurant so you definitely need to book in advance. Eating Blue 1st Floor, 10 Cambridge St, Tollcross, 221 1222 A cool busy bistro, with something for everyone on the menu. Excellent location for a spot of pre/post theatre dining. Lively buzz and great cocktails at the bar. Entertainment The Royal Lyceum Theatre Grindlay Street, Edinburgh The Royal Lyceum Theatre is a beautiful Victorian building with a long history. Built in 1883, its early days saw performances by the likes of Henry Irving and Ellen Terry. Entertainment Usher Hall Lothian Road Tollcross 228 1155 The Usher Hall is one of the most outstanding concert halls in the world. A landmark in the heart of Scotland's capital, it stands for the highest level of musical and civic participation and is the home of The Royal Scottish National Orchestra which plays here every Friday night in its season. For the best part of a century it has hosted some of the greatest concerts and events in the city including conductors Herbert Von Karajan and Claudio Abbado, singers Ella Fitzgerald and Elton John and performers Stephane Grapelli and Simple Minds. Places of Interest Princes Street Gardens Central/West New Town While in Edinburgh why not have a stroll through the picturesque Princes Street Gardens. In the summer you will see many people picnicking, taking a break from shopping and generally relaxing. While in the winter take a stroll in a 'Winter Wonderland' with ice-skating and funfairs. Princes Street garden is also a great venue and the famous Hogmanay Party boosts many famous musical acts performing in the gardens like Blondie, The Scissor Sisters and Texas to name but a few. These gardens are where the original stinking loch was drained at the time the New Town was built. This is the place to watch the amazing post festival fireworks display; surely one of the best in the world. Open til dusk.
