Located in the West End of the city, the apartment is just a ten-minute walk away from Princes Street, while Haymarket station and the tram stop are just around the corner. During The Edinburgh Festival walking to Charlotte Square, the Grassmarket and Old Town is easily done and easily accessible by foot too. At the end of a day's exploring, you'll be delighted to return home to Glencairn Crescent.& &

The sitting room is a beautiful room with huge high ceilings, a stunning cornice, wooden parquet floors, a pretty fireplace and wooden panelled shutters. As well as all this traditional gorgeousness, there are comfortable leather sofas, a TV with cable channels, a huge range of books and DVDs for a night in with a DAB radio and CDs too. The dining table, which seats 6, sits in the huge bay window which floods the room with light. The master bedroom is enormous and the bed is made up with quality linens and is extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bed is normally made up as a kingsize, but it can be split into a twin (please request at the time of booking.) Again, there is a very large window letting the light flood in. There is a great selection of Scottish literature as well as books for children and a cot and high chair can be provided on request. The second bedroom is smaller, but is a light and airy double. The immaculate bathroom has a shower over the bath. The modern kitchen is extremely well equipped if you would like to cook at home and there is a small breakfasting table.

Guests are able to access the immaculate private gardens across the road from the apartment. WIFI is available. All the guests who stay at Glencairn Crescent love it. It is a perfect, welcoming and comfortable home from home, in fact so comfortable you will probably not want to leave.

West End & Dean

Your New Neighbourhood

Edinburgh’s West End and Dean is a popular, smart area. Running West from Queensferry Street to Magdala Crescent and North from Buckingham Terrace and Belgrave Crescent across the Dean Bridge to Shandwick Place in the South.

The Victorians created the West End and aimed to make it bigger and grander than the Georgian New Town. The streets are wide and the stone buildings enormous with huge high ceilings. The wide crescents often have private gardens in the middle and the area feels elegant and opulent. Princes Street can be easily reached on foot and Haymarket Station and the trams are close by too. William Street and Stafford Street are the West End’s most charming shopping streets and they are packed with exciting independent boutiques and some lovely restaurants and cafés. Around the corner magnificent Melville Street is home to various consulates and important companies. St Mary’s Cathedral rises above the West End and is perfect for lovers of angelic choral singing as they have a celebrated music school.
