The location is brilliant, as Stockbridge is one of Edinburgh's most desirable villages and yet you can walk to Princes Street in less than 15 minutes. Stockbridge has famous food shops, delicious delis, cosy cafes, beaitiful boutiques and brilliant bars. There is quite literally something for everyone. Gorgeous outdoor spaces like The Water of Leith, Inverleith Park and The Botanic Gardens are a short walk away too. Decorated in calm colours, polished wooden floors and with lots of downlights, this styligh apartment feels like an oasis and a wonderful space to come home to. Located at basement level, there is a large shared garden for sitting out on a warm day. The living area and kitchen are combined and have a lovely sofa and chair, a round dining table to seat 4, a wall mounted TV and a very well equipped kitchen so that keen cooks can make the most of the famous foodshops that lie on the doorstep. The bedroom has a peaceful, romantic feel and is very large. The kingsize bed is made up with quality cotton linen and luxurious towels and there is ample wardrobe space. A desk and chair means that this room can double as a study. There is a smart shower room with a rain shower. An oasis and a perfect home from home. Eating Bell’s Diner 7 St.Stephen Street, Stockbridge, 225 8116 Bell’s Diner is like an institution In Edinburgh, famous for the best burgers in town. A very busy but small restaurant so you definitely need to book in advance. Places of Interest Royal Botanic Gardens Inverleith Row [East Gate] & Arboretum Place [West Gate], Stockbridge 552 7171 The Botanic Gardens have one of most impressive collections of trees and plants in the world and is a gorgeous place to get lost in an while away a few hours. The glasshouses are where we Edinburgh folk used to go for a treat before the days of central heating! Inverleith House usually has an interesting modern art exhibition and the views of Edinburgh from here are stunning. Shopping Armstrongs Raeburn Place, Stockbridge One of the best fish shops in Edinburgh, with a fantastic range of fish and creatures from the deep. It is also located very close to other speciality food shops. Great smoked salmon. Shopping Bowers 75 Raeburn Place, Stockbridge Not for the blood shy! This proper old style butcher has superb quality meat and game and you’re likely to hear some of the funniest chat you are to witness this year whilst waiting in the queue next to a dead pheasant or twenty. Good range of taxidermy too!
