"I was just sitting here giving your information to a friend who plans to visit Edinburgh when I reflected back on what a wonderful experience the Browns Place flat was. I loved Edinburgh and certainly hope to return soon. Thank you for everything."

Drinking The Holyrood Tavern 9a Holyrood Road, Holyrood 0131 556 5044 One of Edinburgh's most laid back pubs, with friendly bar staff and comfortable if not slightly old looking furniture. The chilled atmosphere makes you want to put your feet up and listen to tunes on the juke box. Drinking Bar Kohl 54 George IV Bridge, Old Town 0131 225 6936 Trendy and shiny. Big jugs of flavoured vodkas! Eating Bistro du Vin 11 Bristo Place, Edinburgh 0131 247 4900 Wonderful bistro newly opened in November 2008 nestled in the heart of the Old Town. Serving classic European cuisine with a superb wine list. Open for lunch and dinner.
Eating Peter's Yard 27 Simpson Loan, Middle Meadow Walk, 0131 228 5876 Peter's Yard is a wonderful Swedish bakery open daily with some real tasty treats to tempt you from that diet you've been meaning to start! All their breads and pastries are made fresh on the premises and their conserves are cooked by hand over an open fire, using a copper cauldron. Eating The Spoon Cafe 15 Blackfriars Street, Old Town 0131 556 6922 David Ramsden of The Dogs favourite cafe, so it must be worth checking out. Places of Interest Edinburgh Castle Old Town As one of the most famous landmarks in Edinburgh, the Castle sits elegantly above the city. A visit to Edinburgh is truly not complete until you have walked round the site which dates from the 12th Century. As you explore, you can see the hourly changing of the guard and marvel at St Margaret's Chapel, the oldest building in Edinburgh, however do not be startled by the one o' clock gun salute, which happens on most weekdays.
