Description

Charming and family-friendly, this two bedroom Edinburgh flat has a special, cosy atmosphere and feels like a cottage in the middle of the city. It is perfect for small families as cots etc. can be provided by the owners, who live upstairs. Located in an elegant crescent off Inverleith Row, The Royal Botanic Gardens are only a few minutes walk away and the wonderful green oasis of The Water of Leith is too. There are some brilliant locals cafes in Canonmills, which is a couple of minutes away and buses are readily available for the 5 minute journey to Princes Street. This self catering apartment is available for holiday, The Festival and short lets. From £350/week. 

Decorated with a sense of country style with some lovely, interesting furniture and paintings, this apartment has a cosy, homely feel. It benefits from a private outside area by the entrance where you can sit on a sunny day. Inside the apartment, there is a tranquil and large double bedroom and opposite a small children's bedroom with a bunk bed and cot. The smart bathroom has a shower over the bath. The sitting room has comfy sofas and chairs, a gas fire and TV and DVD and broadband is also available. The kitchen area is open plan to the sitting room, but tucked around a corner and is well-equipped for those who like to cook. Access to the pretty private garden at the back of the property may be arranged with the charming owners.  

Over the Festival a whole month booking is preferred in this apartment.

Handmade sandwiches, panini, bagels, baguettes, bloomers….prepared on site each day, plus bacon rolls. The pastry fridge is always well stocked with cakes, slices, muffins and pastries. Free WiFi is also available.

    Arboretum Place, Edinburgh
    Inverleith Park is next to the Botanic Gardens, with 54 acres it is one of Scotland's largest urban parks. The park once formed part of the Inverleith Estate, which had been owned by the Rocheid family since 1665. The park is laid out with playing fields, tree-lined walk-ways and a sizeable pond. Most of the Park is parkland, used as recreational space and for rugby, football, cricket, baseball, children's play park, four tennis courts and a petanque court.

    The Botanic Gardens have one of most impressive collections of trees and plants in the world and is a gorgeous place to get lost in an while away a few hours. The glasshouses are where we Edinburgh folk used to go for a treat before the days of central heating! Inverleith House usually has an interesting modern art exhibition and the views of Edinburgh from here are stunning.
