It is very well placed at Tesco supermarket is just across the road, Broughton Street with its excellent range of local restaurants, bars, boutiques and food shops is a five minute walk away and there are also some excellent local cafes on nearby Brandon Terrace. Public transport is available locally and George Street is a 20 minute walk. WIFI is available for guests use. This self catering apartment is available for short lets, holiday lets and the Festival. The living room/ kitchen is a good size and has a comfy sofa, a dining table to seat 4, a flat screen TV with freeview and a DVD player. The kitchen area is well equipped and has a microwave. Drinking The Barony Bar 81 Broughton Street, East New Town Great character pub on one of Edinburgh's most popular streets. A fire is always cracking in the winter, great selection of ales, good buzz and reasonable pub grub. Can be smoky but that will all change with the smoking ban. Eating The Olive Branch Broughton Street, East New Town, 557 8589 Easy going bistro style restaurant serving good reliable food and great fish and chips. Seats outside in the Summer. Shopping Crombies 97- 101 Broughton Street, East New Town One of Edinburgh's finest butchers, Crombie's have a delicious selection of organic and locally reared meats. They also have a fantastic range of speciality sausages which regularly win awards. Best place to pick up ingredients for a cooked breakfast.
