This self catering holiday apartment is available for short lets, holiday lets and The Edinburgh Festival from £350 per week.....

Decorated with flair and care and with some lovely artistic features, this gorgeous ground floor apartment feels like a calm oasis in the city. The sitting room has a lovely comfortable sofa, the open fire can be used for cosy evenings and there is a dining table to sit six. There's also a TV with a digibox. The stylish, stainless steel, well designed kitchen area is a part of the sitting room. The quiet contemporary double bedroom lies at the back of the apartment and off it there is a modern shower room. The apartment has a washer/dryer and broadband.

The owners, who use the apartment occasionally, bring their cat with them.

  Team Charlie and Nigel have really made the most of this fantastic take away shop which was an Edinburgh institution under Rowland and continues to be so with Charlie and Nigel. They have a great range of delicious home made proper food and are famous for their curries and salads. There are usually five choices of yummy hot main meals. This is a superb place to get your dinner too, if you’re feeling too lazy to cook. They are also Edinburgh’s leading outside caterers. There’s a family connection so mention you’re in a Dickins flat for even better service. They close at around 4pm.

  Small and cosy, this old New Town favourite is always packed full. Great selection of real ales and good hearty crowd and very good value filling lunches. There’s always a fire burning in the winter.

  This elegant central restaurant is the best Thai in town. The food can be sublime with tantalising combinations. It’s a quiet space and romantic.

There’s a great café here too selling delicious home made food and some hard to resist cakes.
