"I was just sitting here giving your information to a friend who plans to visit Edinburgh when I reflected back on what a wonderful experience the Browns Place flat was. I loved Edinburgh and certainly hope to return soon. Thank you for everything."

Great King Street is an elegant Georgian Street and is very well placed for walking into the centre of town; Princes Street is only a ten minute walk away and very good local facilities are available on nearby Dundas Street and Broughton Street. Buses are available locally too. The apartment has wireless broadband. This self catering apartment is available for holidays, short lets and the Edinburgh Festival from £350/week.....
This ground floor apartment does feel very tranquil. The sitting room has a large, comfy sofa (which is also a sofa bed) and lovely, high glass doors which lead onto the very attractive private garden. The garden has a paved area with a table and chairs for sitting out and dining and also an area with grass and some lovely flower beds. The sitting room also has a dining table to seat 4. The bedroom leads off the sitting room and is a very large with lovely high ceiling and architectural detail. There is a kingsize bed and also a desk, if anyone needs to work. The kitchen is smaller and has a window seat looking onto the garden and there is a small shower room. | | |

Drinking Kay’s Bar 39 Jamaica Street, West New Town Small and cosy, this old New Town favourite is always packed full. Great selection of real ales and good hearty crowd and very good value filling lunches. There’s always a fire burning in the winter. Eating Appetite @ Rowlands 42 Howe Street, Central New Town 225 3711 Team Charlie and Nigel have really made the most of this fantastic take away shop which was an Edinburgh institution under Rowland and continues to be so with Charlie and Nigel. They have a great range of delicious home made proper food and are famous for their curries and salads. There are usually five choices of yummy hot main meals. This is a superb place to get your dinner too, if you’re feeling too lazy to cook. They are also Edinburgh’s leading outside caterers. There’s a family connection so mention you’re in a Dickins flat for even better service. They close at around 4pm. Eating Kweilin 19 Dundas Street, Central New Town 557 1875 The Kweilin Restaurant is an old Edinburgh favourite. This friendly, upmarket restaurant offers a delicious menu in a tranquil, comfortable setting. Ideal spot for a business lunch, or dinner out with friends.
